Lois Klein
Lois Klein holds a BA in Education and English Literature from Tufts University and an MA in Psychology from Antioch University. Her chapbook Naming Water was published in 1998. Her new book of poems, A Soldier�s Daughter, published by Turning Point Books, is coming out in 2008.
Her poetry has won an �Excellence in Writing� award from the Santa Barbara Writers Conference and has been printed or is forthcoming in numerous regional and national journals, including Lucid Stone, Rivertalk, After Hours, Crowd, The South Carolina Review, and Spillway. She has given readings throughout Southern and Central California, and has been a featured presenter at the San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara Poetry Festivals.
Ms. Klein is co-organizer of the Santa Barbara Poetry Series at the Contemporary Arts Forum and organizes the monthly Santa Barbara Favorite Poems Project. She is a fellow of the South Coast Writering Project and has been teaching through the California Poets in the Schools program for nine years.
